NEW YORK, NY – On June 2nd 2008, "The Coil Review" will launch as the newest resource for natural hair. The web-based publication will house a plethora of tools, tips, and information for individuals with naturally coily & curl hair, as well as those who are considering the transition. The site will house information that is researched and filtered through a rigorous verification process prior to publishing. The purpose is to provide assurance to readers that The Coil Review is their trusted natural hair care and styling go-to.
The resources of the site will include: a directory of unique products that best cater to the naturally coily and curly; a salon directory; advisement from stylists, dermatologists, and trichologists; and a specialized "product seek system" which will allow readers to customize a product search, based on their specific needs.
Another component of The Coil Review is informative articles which will not only address hair how-to's and what to-do's, but will undertake the social implications of natural hair as well.

"As a person who has worn natural hair for most of my life, I've found that resources are very limited. So I wanted to create an informative guide so people can learn about the beauty and versatility of natural hair – and also to ultimately reset the stale standard of what beautiful is, which is a personal and professional goal of mine."

Yardley Messeroux, a specialist in the topic of natural hair, has coupled life experience and years of extensive research to create The Coil Review. A native of Boston, MA, Yardley has utilized her own hair experiments, woes and successes to inspire and encourage others about the beauty of naturally textured hair. She has studied under highly knowledgeable hair professionals and combined her media and marketing background to provide the foundation for this online publication. Currently, as the Global Head of Operations for The Coil Review, Yardley is responsible for the implementation and execution of content, web development, and operations.
